NOTD: O.P.I Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous

I've been trying to force myself to start wearing darker colors because its for some reason I have an unspoken rule where once it turns to fall, I have to wear dark/vampy colors. But this year for some reason, I have just still been wearing a lot of light colors. I guess I already miss the summer.

But I do really like this mani!

Here I have on O.P.I: Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous and on my accent nail I have China Glaze: Avalanche

China Glaze: Fortune Teller

This past week was halloween, which meant halloween manicure! I had been looking for China Glaze: Fortune Teller for the longest time, and finally found it off amazon! Love it!!

This is how the polish looks without topcoat:

I wanted to just see how it looked without anything over, but what I really wanted to do was to put a matte coat over because I saw a lot of swatches of this polish with matte topcoat over and it looks absolutely awesome! I decided to do an accent nail with a regular glossy topcoat and have the rest of my nails have a matte look and this is what it looks like:

Hope you guys like it! Definitely love this polish, and so appropriate for Halloween!

Tree Hugger

Hello!

I hope you guys are doing amazing. Here is a green mani with an accent nail:

Here we have China Glaze's Tree Hugger on all my nails except my accent nail which has Skin Food's Green with O.P.I's Black Shatter over.

Is it just me or is the black shatter not really...shattering? hrm.

What do you guys think?

Recycled Love

That title doesn't sound too appealing does it? hrm, haha I was trying to think of something semi-creative, but I guess not. Oh well! This is one of my favorites manis that I have given myself. GAH! I'm definitely going to try to attempt this again!
left hand

right hand-bare because I didn't want to mess up such an awesome mani!
So the grey used is two coats of China Glaze's Recycle and the awesome teal color is two coats of O.P.I's Ski Teal We Drop. For the white heart, I used one of Kiss's nail art nail polish with the thin brushes.

The heart surprisingly turned out REALLY well. I'm very impressed with myself. But since everything looked so nicely, I didn't want to mess up my other hand by drawing a very ugly and distorted heart with my non dominate hand, so I just left it blank hehe.

What do you guys think?  :)

ps. wanted to give a quick shout out to two people today! Today is my sister, Kat, and my friend, Glen's birthday! So happy birthday to you two  :)

Orly's Ancient Jade

Hello!!
I absolutely love this mani!! I'm definitely on a pastel color kick and this pastel mani just makes my day!

This is 3 coats of Orly's Ancient Jade and 3 coats of Sea Spray
The color in the picture is actually a bit lighter than the color on my actual nails. Add a touch of green to ancient jade and a bit of grey to sea spray and perfecto!

I actually wasn't too impressed with the formula and the application of Ancient Jade. It came off pretty streaky (smoothed out in picture thanks to top coat!) and it was pretty thick and gloppy.

However, this mani is so cute! I added some stars just for the heck of it, and I think it compliments the mani pretty well, don't you?

What do you think? What do you think of the formula to Orly's Ancient Jade

Elf's Light Red

Hello!
I've been doing pretty good at posting huh?? I definitely give myself a pat on the back :) Here is just a quick post with Elf's Light Red nail polish. This is just two coats.

flash!

no flash

Grr with night time photographing. I know, they look completely different. I think it definitely looks more like the one with the flash.

The formulation on Elf's nail polishes are surprising pretty good! I absolutely love the black polish, which is uber opaque, and this one is not bad at all.

I used this polish as a base in another post, my birthday post. I put China Glaze's Ruby Pumps over top last time to make it look it look like this:

Quite like it! Will defintiely be doing this again, and possibly adding some designs to it!

What do you think?

I Sea some Corals

Hello everyone! Yet another puny title :)
Today I have such a pretty mani to show you guys! Really loving this combo. And of course, more blue for this month to bring the awareness of Autism. :)

Here I have two coats of China Glaze's Sea Spray and on my accent nail I have two coats of Orly's Gilded Coral. I absolutely love both colors so much. And the formulation was pretty good. Had not trouble with the application.

What do you guys think?

China Glaze Frostbite

I'm back!! wohoo!! I do apologize once more for not being more active. But I do want to try to start posting more! Wish me luck!

This month is Autism Awareness Month and the color that represents that is blue! So here is a mani I really like!

I'm not sure why I posted both pictures up, they kind of look exactly the same. haha But I always love lots of pictures on other people's blog, so I guess two is better than one. Ignore the tip wear, I think I've worn this mani for about a week before I remembered to take a picture of it.

On all my nails except my accent nail is China Glaze: Frostbite and my accent nail was kind of inspired by Chloe's Nails on her Dorothy & Her Diamond Necklace post quite a while ago. I really like the way she put China Glaze's Dorothy Who over black, so that's what I did. On top of that, I put Boundless Color: Gold Rush, just to be more glittery. I actually really enjoyed how this turned out, and got quite a few compliments on it, which is always a plus!

Hope you guys are all doing well!

Swatches!

So I have finally decided to do some swatches..my first swatch post! hehe

Okay, so I put these colors together since these where the holiday polishes that came out and I'm sure you guys have all seen swatches of these colors anyways. But that okay, this is good practice for me for posting and swatching :)

The first color is China Glaze's Peace on Earth. I love this color. Such an awesome green yellow. This is 2 coats here.

China Glaze's Jolly Holly. Here, I only did one coat, but it was opaque enough to stand alone.

China Glaze Little Drummer Boy. I don't think my camera really captured the right color, but let me say, it is such an amazing blue color and nicely opaque, this is only one coat. Love it!

Anyways, so this is my first swatch post haha, I have more that I will be posting up :) Let me know how I can improve these swatch post, I feel like I didn't say much at all for this post...but maybe that is a good thing since I tend to ramble on about nothing :P hehe

Anyways, hope everyone is doing well. It is still in the holiday season, so, Happy Holidays! <3

First of Many, I hope!

I decided to make an account because I think it's nice to post random things that I find interesting and like. Not sure how this will work out since I got a tumblr not too long ago and didn't really keep up with it. Hopefully this blogspot will not be ignored soon after I start this and hopefully I will keep it up!! Who knows how many followers I will gets, if none, thats okay too haha I don't mind talking to my self :)
Here goes nothing! Wish me luck!!

So I guess I will start off with a picture  of what I have on my nails inspired by one of the nails that Katrina's Nail Blog did :)

First Nails!
I know the picture looks a bit yellow, but without the rest of the picture looking yellow, the color of of the green on my nails looked more teal.

So on my nails I used:
Thumb: China Glaze's Four Leaf Clover with a silver rhinestone.
Index finger: has an aluminum foiled silver from an asian shop in Taiwan painted french with the Four Leaf Clover linning the silver.
Middle Finger: Same Four Leaf Clover with Ulta's Sequins and some hexagonal glitter.
Ring Finger: Used the same aluminum foiled silver along with Ulta's Sequins over it and some glitter.
Pinky Finger: Did a french with FLC and painted some Sequins along the french line with some glitter :)

*Whew, so many words for such a simple manicure! Used only three different colors; turned out pretty nicely if  may say so myself...although I might change it tomorrow! Can't wait! :)
