NOTD: Smokin' Hot with Accent Nail

So in my past post, I told you that my friend got Essie's: Smokin' Hot and that I didn't do an accent nail, 

but I was looking through my stash today and I thought that Orly's: Winter Wonderland would look awesome over a dark polish since it is just a tiny bit sheer. 

I'm actually really liking this look! What do you think?

NOTD: Essie: Smokin' Hot

The other day, my friend who works at a salon, came up to me and put something in my hand....turned out to be an Essie nail polish!!! I thought it was so sweet of her!! She and only a few people know how obsessed with nail polish I am, and she decided to support this obsession of mine... and it worked!! haha

I absolutely LOOOVEEEE the color that she chose for me!!

Here I have Essie: Smokin' Hot. I normally have an accent nail, but I just really loved this color too much!! :) Thank you Lindsey!! You are awesome!

NOTD: Butter London-Tea with the Queen

I think I found my favorite nude polish!! I've been looking for a good nude polish for some time now. Every time I enter Ulta, I walk to the Butter London display, pick up Tea with the Queen, and put it down because I just couldn't really justify spending $14 on just a nude polish. But last time I was Ulta, I picked up a Butter London polish for a friend and it turned out there was a sale of buy two get one free, so I took the opportunity to finally pick this polish up! And am I so glad I did because I LOVE IT!

Here I have Butter London: Tea with the Queen and on my accent nail I have Essie: Angora Cardi which is such a fabulous color! I don't know how I feel about the two colors together, but I really like both colors separately.

And on a side note, I was wearing Essie: Angora Cardi by itself a week ago, and a guy friend complimented on the the nail color! I don't think I've EVER had a guy compliment me on my nails or the nail color before. I was definitely flattered :)

NOTD: Essie: Lady Like

Hello!! 

I have to say this was one of my favorite manis. It's so eloquent! I think this mani is definitely one of those that you could totally wear for any occasion, formal to non formal. I love it! So chic!! 

Here I have Essie: Lady Like, and on my accent nails I have Sally Hansen: Stony as a base and O.P.I: Crown Me Already!

NOTD: Mint Sprint

Green is definitely one of my favorite colors! I think it just matches my skin color really well.

NOTD: green

I love light greens for some reason. I've been trying to look for a good dark green polish, but for some reason, they don't look good on me. So until I find one.....

Blue Mani

Today I have for you a lovely blue manicure!! There are a few colors that I think look great on me, and blue is definitely one that I feel look great with my skin tone (which is probably while every other mani is blue). 

I have on my nails Hard Candy's Sky on all my nails except on my accent nail which I have Essie's Lapis in Luxury. I love the color combo of it!! Will definitely probably do this mani again sometime!

Bubbles?

Hello!

Question. Is it the formula or how you apply the polish that creates bubbles? It is so frustrating when I think the polish is a gorgeous color, but apply on my nails and it has sooo much air bubbles in it. And for me, I don't really want to apply top coats just because I like to change out my manicure so often. 

I love the color of this blue polish, but man, talk about crazy bubbling!!

This lovely pastel blue color is Hard Candy's Sky and on my ring finger I have Essie's Turquoise and Caicos. *Sigh, such a great color, but hrm..bubbles :(   I guess I will have to use a topcoat for this mani.

Greeness!

Hello everyone!

As most of you know, today is 4/20, I thought I would put up a mani that SEMI resembles the day. I actually don't condone this day, and am personally pretty grossed out by the smell, but to each his own, I guess. 

So here is a mani I actually did not really enjoy. It's funny too because I've eyed these two colors for such a long time because I decided to throw in the towel to buy them, but they were a bit of a disappointment. 

Here we have two coats of O.P.I's Jade is the New Black and on my accent nail (ring finger) two coats of Essie's Incognito. 

I think it could just my skin color. Or maybe I'm just not use to wearing darker greens. Or maybe..both? Either way, I just felt unsettled when I had this mani on. I might go back to these colors in a bit, because I know that there are some colors that I love now that I didn't like a couple months/years ago.
