NOTD: Orly-Royal Velvet

I can't get over how pretty this mani is!
To be honest, I bought Orly's Royal Velvet mainly because of the name, but wow, the color being AMAZING is definitely a plus!

Here I have Orly: Royal Velvet and on my accent nail I have Zoya: Julieanne

Sephora Friends and Family Haul

So I know this isn't a nail post, like my usual post, but I thought it would be nice to change it up every once in a while!

I think this is the first time I actually bought something from Sephora, and oh boy, this is going to start some addiction! I finally bit the bullet and bought a couple things that I've been eyeing for such a long time.

I remember seeing the Smith's Strawberry Lip Balm a couple years ago and thought it was too expensive. After thinking about it for awhile, I went back to the store where I saw it and they didn't sell it anymore! I've been looking for it everywhere, and finally found it on Sephora probably about a year ago, but didn't want to only buy one product online. But this was the perfect opportunity.

I have to say I LOVE this lip balm. I remember not being too impressed at first when I put it on my lips right before bed, but when I woke up the next day, my lips were so extremely soft! Another plus is the amazing smell. It's a nice strawberry smell that is not too overwhelming. Definitely a great lip treatment.

Another thing I've been eyeing was the Urban Decay Naked palette. I know, SUPER LATE, but better late than never. Trust me, I've been eyeing and drooling over this palette the moment it came out, but just couldn't get myself to buy it until now. And I'm so happy I did! I would have done some swatches, but I'm pretty sure you guys all know what the colors look like since I'm pretty sure a lot of you have it already!

Last thing I got was the Tarte LipSurgence. I forgot to take an individual picture of it before I tore the packaging up, but I did take pictures of the swatches of the different colors.
From top to bottom: Glitzy, Perky, Fashy, Swank, Dazzled

From left to right: Glitzy, Perky, Flashy, Swank, Dazzled.

I think my favorite would have to be Dazzled, just because the color is closest to my natural lip color, and I'm so use to lip colors that are more natural. I really want to try to start experimenting with brighter or warmer colors on my lips, so I thought that this would be a good start.

I honestly don't think they are the most moisturizing thing in the world, but it is definitely somewhat moisturizing.

Did you get anything from the Sephora Friends and Family Sale? What did you guys get? I would love some recommendations for next time if I order something (which is VERY likely)!

NOTD: green

I love light greens for some reason. I've been trying to look for a good dark green polish, but for some reason, they don't look good on me. So until I find one.....

Here I have Essie: Absolutely Shore, Orly: Ancient Jade (as an accent),  and Milani: Jew (over Orly's Ancient Jade)

Hope you enjoy!

China Glaze: Fortune Teller

This past week was halloween, which meant halloween manicure! I had been looking for China Glaze: Fortune Teller for the longest time, and finally found it off amazon! Love it!!

This is how the polish looks without topcoat:

I wanted to just see how it looked without anything over, but what I really wanted to do was to put a matte coat over because I saw a lot of swatches of this polish with matte topcoat over and it looks absolutely awesome! I decided to do an accent nail with a regular glossy topcoat and have the rest of my nails have a matte look and this is what it looks like:

Hope you guys like it! Definitely love this polish, and so appropriate for Halloween!

NOTD: Rumple's Wiggin & Do you Lilac it?

Hello!

Wow, I didn't realize how absent I've been. I apologize. School, work, church has been taking a lot of my time. I still have been doing my nails and taking pictures, but just did have that extra time to post them up. I finally had some time the other day to do exactly that, so hopefully posting will be a bit more consistant in the next couple weeks. I'm thinking about doing a blog everyday for at least for month just so I can commit, what do you guys think?

Anyways, here is a simple mani for you today. Just some nice purple :)

On my nail, I have on O.P.I: Rumple's Wiggin and O.P.I: Do you Lilac it? I absolutely love this look. I think I actually have redone this look several times. Hope to see you all more often!
